Easter Cruise (Roche) Mar. 29-April 1
Our first cruise will be upon us before you know it, and we will be joined by members of the International Yacht Club (IYC). Although the weather often looks iffy leading up to the weekend, it has never rained on the Roche Harbor Easter Egg hunt for 36 years Cmd. Don has attended! The holiday weekend is from Friday March 29 to Monday April 1, although some unlucky working folks don’t get the Monday off. PRYC will subsidize one night’s moorage up to 35', and Roche Harbor offers the third night free. So members only pay one night’s moorage, and a little bit more if their boat is over 35 feet.
The itinerary for the weekend will be as follows:
1. Arrival Friday afternoon;
2. Boat hop Friday evening.
3. Saturday may include a walk to the distillery, a group taxi trip to Friday Harbor, or a walk to the English Camp, or some other group activity.
4. For those with young children or grandchildren, and for those who are just young at heart, on Saturday afternoon we help the marina colour the 3000 hard boiled eggs they hide in the gardens for the Easter Egg hunt the following day.
5. Saturday evening is a pot luck dinner in the tent. It will be heated and there will be BBQ’s outside.
6. Sunday morning often includes a walk to the Mausoleum, followed by watching the Easter Egg hunt at 12:30. Typically nothing is planned for Sunday evening as many boats return home. But there is often an informal gathering of those who remain. Depending on the weather, some boats have chosen to relocate to Sucia for the night.
Please make your reservations on Roche's website and note that you are joining the PRYC cruise, and send me an email (boyle@telus.net) advising of your participation.
We hope to see you all there, for the first of our combined cruises with IYC.

Cruisemaster needed. Currently, we do not have -but are in need of- a Cruisemaster. It's a position that can appear daunting, but needn't be. A Cruisemaster doesn't have to do everything, but it is nice to have one person overseeing the season; you can organize as you see fit; including asking for other members to run with a single cruise event. As an example, Don & Heather served up a great Easter event! A little bit from all can go a long way in everyone involved. If you're wanting to know more about it, please reach out to the Commodore, or any of the Board members to find out more about what might be involved.

Club Cruises are great ways to reconnect with your extended boating family. Here's a few captions to remind/entice you, as we prepare for the coming season.
Tentative destinations/dates of Club Cruises will be set in December, check back and remember to mark your calendars -the more the merrier! This year we are trying something different and are going to pair with International Yacht Club (IYC) for some of our activities; so here's how things are currently shaping up:
